A cart that is too small is expensive to pick, pack and send. PluginCity Minimum Order for WooCommerce stops checkout until the order is worth taking, and tells the customer exactly what is still missing.
Turn on a minimum spend, a minimum quantity, or both. The customer sees a plain sentence such as „Add £12.50 more to reach the £50.00 minimum“ or „Add 2 more items to reach the minimum of 5“ — on the cart and at checkout. Classic checkout and the block cart and checkout are both covered.
The free version is permanent. It does not expire, needs no licence key, and never contacts PluginCity.

The free version never phones home. There is no account, no licence key, and no trial clock.
Most shops do not have one rule for every customer. Wholesale should skip the minimum, a gift card should not count toward it, and trade accounts often need a higher spend than retail. Pro is for shops that need those exceptions, and it can style the message to match your theme.
Pro is a separate paid version, sold and distributed by PluginCity. It is not included in this plugin, it is not downloaded by it, and nothing described above depends on it. If you buy Pro you replace this plugin with the version you download from your account, and your existing settings carry over.
Configuration
- Turn on a minimum spend, a minimum quantity, or both.
- Set the amount or quantity.
- Check the What the customer would see example at the top of the Minimums and Messages screens.
- Write the messages if you want different wording.

WooCommerce must be installed and active first.
- In WordPress, go to Plugins Add New.
- Search for PluginCity Minimum Order for WooCommerce.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.
- Go to WooCommerce Minimum Order, or click Settings on the Plugins screen.
Installing from a downloaded ZIP instead: go to Plugins Add New Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP file, and click Install Now. Leave the ZIP as it is; there is no need to unzip it.

Does it work with the block cart and checkout?

Yes. Shortfalls are reported through WooCommerce’s Store API, so the block cart and checkout refuse to proceed and show the same message.

What does the spend minimum count?

The cart subtotal, before shipping. Tax is counted only if your shop shows prices with tax included, so the figure the rule uses is the one the customer sees in their cart. You choose whether coupons come off that amount or not.

Can the minimum exclude VAT?

Yes. Set Tax to „Always excluding tax“ and the minimum is judged on the net figure, whatever your shop displays. Trade suppliers usually want this: they show prices with VAT on but mean a net figure when they say the minimum order is £50. The opposite setting is there too, for a shop that shows net prices but means the gross total.

Does it work with a currency switcher?

Yes. Your minimum is typed once, in your shop’s own currency, and converted for a customer shopping in another, so nobody is held to a figure that means something else. WPML’s multi-currency, Aelia, WOOCS, CURCY and Price Based on Country are all read directly. Pro lets you set a round figure per currency, so you can ask for $60 rather than whatever the day’s rate makes of £50.

Can I let collection in person skip the minimum?

Pro can. Tick „No minimum“ against a shipping method and it is let off entirely, which is what click and collect usually wants: a £15 minimum makes sense for loading a van and none at all for somebody walking in.

Can I require both a spend and a quantity?

Yes. Checkout stays blocked until every enabled rule is met, and the customer sees a line for each shortfall.

Can I change the wording?

Yes. Use
{remaining},{minimum}and{current}where those numbers should appear. The settings screen shows a worked example as you type. -
Can the message contain a link?

Yes. Basic formatting and a link are allowed, so you can point customers at a category that would get them over the line. The block checkout shows the wording without the link, because what it refuses an order with is plain text.

Can I change how the message looks?

The free version draws it in a plain box that suits most themes, and it can be restyled with your own CSS. Pro gives you the controls instead: colour, fill, border, size, weight, alignment, an optional basket or warning icon, and a rounded box, an outline, or no box at all for a theme that already draws its own panel round the cart.

Do virtual products count?

In the free version, yes: every line in the cart counts. Pro can leave virtual and download-only products out, and a cart that then has nothing left to count is not held to the minimum.

Does it work with High-Performance Order Storage?

Yes. Nothing is written to orders, so HPOS shops are fully supported.

What happens if I deactivate WooCommerce?

The plugin steps aside and shows a notice. It does not fatally error, and your settings are waiting when WooCommerce comes back.

Do I need an account or a licence?

No. It is free to use for as long as you like, needs no key, and never contacts PluginCity.
