If you sell a mix of small and large products on WooCommerce you know the problem: you offer free shipping over a threshold, but when a customer buys a bulky, expensive item the system zeroes out the shipping cost \u2014 and you lose money on the freight.<\/p>\n\n

Solucom Shipping Control<\/strong> fixes this with three simple behaviours:<\/p>\n\n

  1. Disables free shipping<\/strong> whenever the cart contains a product assigned to your chosen \"bulky\" shipping class.<\/li>\n
  2. Hides paid rates<\/strong> when free shipping is legitimately available, so the cart stays clean and the customer is not confused.<\/li>\n
  3. Shows a customisable notice<\/strong> on the product page of bulky items (title, message, position and colours \u2014 all editable from the settings, no code).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    The plugin is lightweight (single file, no external services, no tracking) and fully translatable. An Italian translation<\/strong> is maintained on translate.wordpress.org and is delivered automatically to Italian sites as a language pack.<\/p>\n\n

    How it decides what is \"bulky\"<\/h4>\n\n

    You create a WooCommerce shipping class (e.g. \"Bulky\"), copy its slug into the plugin settings, and assign that class to your oversized products. That is the only thing the plugin keys off \u2014 you stay in full control.<\/p>\n\n\n

    1. In WordPress go to Plugins \u2192 Add New \u2192 Upload Plugin<\/strong> and upload the ZIP, then Activate<\/strong>. (Or copy the solucom-shipping-control<\/code> folder into \/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code>.)<\/li>\n
    2. Make sure WooCommerce<\/strong> is installed and active.<\/li>\n
    3. Go to Settings \u2192 Solucom Shipping<\/strong> and:\n\n

      • create a shipping class in WooCommerce \u2192 Shipping \u2192 Classes and paste its slug into the plugin;<\/li>\n
      • configure your Flat Rate (cost for the bulky class, 0 for no class, calculation \"per most expensive class\");<\/li>\n
      • assign the shipping class to your bulky products.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/li>\n
      • Customise the product-page notice (title, message, position, colours) on the same settings screen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n
